- The OECD’s Teacher and Learning International Survey (TALIS) will be published at 11.00 a.m. Paris time (09.00 GMT) on Wednesday 25 June 2014.
- Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development
TALIS is the largest international survey of teachers and involved more than 100,000 lower secondary teachers and school leaders from 34 countries and economies. The survey aims to help countries review and define policies for developing a high-quality teaching profession by asking teachers and school leaders about their working conditions and learning environments at their schools. In addition to building a profile of who teachers are in terms of age, experience and the size of the classes they work with, the survey asked teachers about their beliefs and attitudes towards teaching; the factors that drive their job satisfaction; the pedagogical practices they favour; and how they are recognised, appraised and rewarded.
